BULLMASTIFF
The photo above shows a good example of the Bullmastiff.
The three smaller pictures show the three colors of the Bullmastiff-
Fawn, Brindle and Red. There are
variations of these basic colors.
For more information on correct structure of the Bullmastiff visit the American
Bullmastiff Association website and look for the AKC Standard and Illustrated
Standard of the Bullmastiff by clicking on the link
“About Bullmastiffs”.
The Bullmastiff is a strong and powerfully built
animal that possesses great intelligence and loyalty to his family.
Although large, the breed remains both agile and active.
They are successful competitors in conformation, obedience, agility,
tracking, and therapy work.
The Bullmastiff is a fearless and confident
guardian of the home and family.
They are independent thinkers and may not respond to traditional training.
With this said - they are not dog park dogs.
The Bullmastiff does not require a lot of exercise or grooming
and can live happily in a house or apartment.
They are not a dog for everyone to own.
When purchasing a Bullmastiff care should be given
to health testing and temperament of the parents.
A list of reputable breeders can be found on the American Bullmastiff
Association website.
The Southeast Bullmastiff Association has been an
active club since 1990. Visit their
